Croatian Cruise Ports at the Seatrade Cruise Global 2024


Croatian Association of Port Authorities and Croatian National Tourist Office (CNTO) jointly presented Croatian Cruise Ports at a 800 sq.ft. booth #2210 at the world's largest convention dedicated to the cruise industry "Seatrade Cruise Global", which took place from 8 - 11 April 2024 at Miami Beach Convention Center, Miami Beach, FL - USA.

Seatrade Cruise Global 2024 featured over 600 exhibitors from all over the world. During the convention, conferences and meetings were held at which updated sector data were exchanged and dialogues between cruise lines and port authorities continued towards common objective, which is sustainable development, security and quality of service. Croatian port authorities of Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, Šibenik and Rijeka, in joint promotion of cruise tourism in Croatia, were joined by numerous stakeholders in the cruise industry, CNTO in New York, cities, tourist boards as well as tourist and maritime agencies. Special interest was shown for the "Respect the City" initiative, a strategic destination management project.

According to announcements, by the end of 2024, 380 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Dubrovnik, bringing 530,000 passengers, which is fully in line with the plans for sustainable tourism development in the destination. The maximum number of cruise passengers in Dubrovnik during the whole year 2024 is 4,000 passengers simultaneously or an average of less than two ships alongside.
