1.706.700,00 HRK 85% financed by EU from regional development fund.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

The overall objective is to support the domestic and international tourism and economic development in Dubrovnik and for the islands connected with Dubrovnik by ferries and vessels.

It is also the objective to secure a long-term physical development of Dubrovnik port and to secure land and long-term plans for possible future landside superstructure both in the area for cruise ships and in the Batahovina II area.

Furthermore it is the objective to integrate the Port development with the long-term traffic planning in Dubrovnik in order to reduce the traffic congestion in the access the Port area and establish easy access to the future highway system.  

The specific objective of the project is the design and construction of new berths and quay areas in the Batahovina II port area in Dubrovnik port in order to relocate the domestic and international ferries to Batahovina II, which will free quay space in the Southern Port for vessels and smaller ships. 

The sub-ordinated objectives are:

To secure maximum berth capacity and the flexible use of the berths for ferries, vessels, yachts and small cruise ships
To relocate the ferries to Batahovina II
To improve the organization and quay capacity at landside
To improve security and safety for passengers, ferries and vessels while moored at the port
To improve road traffic safety and capacity in the port area for ferry and cruise passengers
To separate Schengen and non-Schengen passengers and to separate the cruise passengers from other passengers in order to comply with all EU border control regulations.
