Last year in April, Dubrovnik Port Authority welcomed "Viking Star” on his maiden voyage, and on 10th April 2016 we made the same with "Viking Sea”, honored that  "Viking Ocean Cruises " included Dubrovnik in their itinerary cruise plan.
Viking Cruises' "Viking Sea”, is the one of three new ships of the company's ocean cruising company, a sister-ship of "Viking Star” and "Viking Sky”.
These are more luxurious than commercial ships that provide a "deluxe" service. Key highlights of the new line, which is based on Viking Rivers' uber-successful series of riverboats, is its destination-oriented cruise experience, with few days at sea, long days in ports and more overnights in key places than offered by other lines.
"Viking Sea" offers luxurious amenities and high level of service; all cabins are spacious with balconies, the service is "all inclusive", with plenty of entertainment taking place in the ports where the ship stays for a long time. Features include value-oriented extras such as a selection of free shore excursions, complimentary Wi-Fi, and beer and wine served without charge at lunch and dinner.
The General Manager of Dubrovnik Port Authority, Mr. Antun Asic, welcomed the ship's captain, Mr. Atle Haakon Knutsen  and crew of the ship. The reception was attended by representatives of the City of Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik Tourist Board and Port of Dubrovnik.
