From the 7 to the 9 June in Mersin, Turkey was held the 3rd "International Congress on Mediterranean Trade and Port Cities" organized by Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and from the Mersin Chamber of Shipping with the sponsorship of the Turkish ministry of the Economy. The event topic was "Mediterranean: crossroads of the world seaways" subdivided in the three sessions from the title "Cruise tourism in Mediterranean", Yacht tourism in Mediterranean" and "Trade routes and logistic potential of the Mediterranean". One of the invited speakers was Dubrovnik Port Authority general manager Mr. Kristijan Pavić who spoke about cruise tourism influence on Dubrovnik as one of the leading Mediterranean cruise destinations.
