TEN ECOPORT 3rd PSC MEETING TO BE HELD IN DUBROVNIK
Jointly for Protection and Improvement of the Environment

The 3rd PSC meeting of the project „Transnational ENhancement of ECOPORT8 network - TEN ECOPORT" will be held in Dubrovnik on the 27th and 28th June 2013 in Dubrovnik in the scope of Transnational Cooperation Programme South East Europe, with a total budget of the project amounting to 2.284.282,00 € financed from EU funds, Component II, Priority Axis 2. (Protection and Improvement of the Environment), Area of Intervention 2.2: Joint measures for Improvement and Prevention of Environmental Risks), by which activities in the amount of 93.000 € are carried out in Dubrovnik. Expected project duration period is 24 months (October 2012-October 2014).

The long-term objective of TEN ECOPORT project is to enhance the cross-border and trans-European partnership between SEE port areas developing collaboration and effective relation among all stakeholders (i.e. Port Authorities, local institutions, local authorities, enterprises, external operators and citizens of the involved countries) in order to stimulate an integrated policy on environmental protection and growth of Trans-European Network (TEN) corridors and to develop and implement intelligent environmental port management and information systems using integrated technologies for environmental risk protection in order to reduce impacts on human health, biodiversity and other environmental aspects.

Project partners besides the Port Authority of Dubrovnik are Polytechnic of Bari as Lead Partner, Levante Port Authority, UNIVERSUS CSEI – Training and Innovation University Consortium, Technological Educational Institute of Epirus - Laboratory of Knowledge & Intelligent Computing, Igoumenitsa Port Authority S.A., Patras Port Authority S.A., National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company National Institute of Marine Geology and GeoEcology,  Port of Bar Holding Company,  Polytechnic University of Tirana and Durres Port Authority.
