Japanese Minister of Justice, Mr. Sadakazu Tanigaki, and  the Japanese Ambassador in Croatia Mr. Keiji Ide, together with his delegation, visited the Port of Dubrovnik on 28th of July 2014, for the purpose of inspection and familiarization procedures of border controls on persons and vehicles from ships, with special emphasis on border control of passengers from cruise ships. 
The hosts of this visit were general manager of Dubrovnik Port Authority, capt. Antun Asic, and Mr. Vlaho Lujo as a representative of the Ministry of Interior, Police Directorate of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Department of the border (Department of maritime and airport police). 
During their visit, after a brief presentation at the Port Authority, the Japanese delegation visited the ship MV Ventura, which was moored in the harbor Gruž, and on this occasion they met with border control procedures and safety rules, when approaching the ship.
