The CYSCROMS (Cyber Safety in Croatian Maritime Transport Sector) project is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the cybersecurity and resilience of the Croatian maritime sector. The project in the Republic of Croatia is being implemented by a consortium led by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, as the project holder and coordinator, with the participation of the Port of Dubrovnik Authority, Port of split Authority, Port of Zadar Authority, Port of Ploče Authority, Plovput d.o.o. and Jadrolinija d.d.
As a project partner, the Port of Dubrovnik Authority, through CYSCROMS, has improved its organizational, management and technical capacities for the protection of network and information systems and increased the level of resilience to cyber threats, in accordance with European and national cybersecurity requirements.
The project has established a comprehensive cybersecurity management system that includes defining security policies, responsibilities and risk management processes, creating an inventory of information assets, classifying assets according to criticality and improving the security of ICT suppliers. Special emphasis was placed on compliance with the requirements of the NIS2 Directive, employee education and strengthening the capabilities for prevention and response to cyber incidents.
The project results contributed to increasing the cyber maturity of the Dubrovnik Port Authority, more secure management of information systems and reliable provision of port services, thereby further strengthening the resilience of the Croatian maritime sector.
In order to bring the project's objectives and results closer to the general public, a promotional video, CYSCROMS, was created, which in an accessible way presents the importance of cybersecurity in maritime transport and the project's contribution to creating a safer and more resilient sector.
