A more evenly distributed schedule of cruise ship arrivals and a season extending into late autumn
In the first nine months of 2026, Dubrovnik recorded 423 cruise ship calls and 571 134 passengers, continuing its policy of controlled and evenly distributed cruise traffic. Cruise ship schedules are planned and coordinated almost two years in advance, enabling better management of guest arrivals, more efficient traffic management, and the preservation of everyday life in the city.
This approach is at the heart of the Respect the City project, through which Dubrovnik systematically manages cruise tourism with the aim of balancing tourism activity with the protection of the historic city and the quality of life of its residents.
The cruise season continues through the autumn months, with a lower intensity but a consistently controlled schedule of ship arrivals. Dubrovnik is thus continuing to demonstrate in 2026 that the success of cruise tourism is measured not only by the number of visitors, but above all by how their arrivals are planned, managed and integrated into the life of the city.
