Last Wednesday morning Dubrovnik port welcomed the latest inaugural call by cruise ship Marella Discovery 2.
Built in 1995 she was operated by Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as m/v Legend of the Seas until sold to Thomson Cruises in 2016 and re-branded into Marella Cruises last year. The ship is a Vision Class cruise vessel of 69,472 GT, length of 264 metres, guest capacity of approx. 1830 passengers and 720 crew members.
As with other inaugurals there was a welcome ceremony and exchange of plaques between the ship’s captain Christopher Douglass and representatives from Dubrovnik Port Authority and local shipping agency.
